best buddies

They have their normal sibling moments of bickering and not always being nice. But really, they totally enjoy each other. When one of them is not around the other is always waiting and asking when they will be back.

This happened back in March, and I love it! I can't believe how much less stress surrounds our interactions knowing that there won't be any screaming and crying when I try to comb/brush her hair. Plus, she loves wearing headbands and this is the perfect cut for that.

Valentine's Day 2011

I have some awesome friends here (well, most of them are leaving - boooooo) but they know how to decorate and throw a party.  We hosted a little brunch for a bunch of the ladies in my ward who have husband's who were deployed on Valentine's Day.  It was a lot of fun and everyone seemed to have a great time.

Alison celebrated the day of love by sharing her treats from school with Andrew. aaaawww, they do like each other!

Andrew is 3!

Yes, it was back in January but I thought you might like to see the celebration.

We were lucky enough to have Grandma Suzie here to celebrate! But didn't actually take any pictures of her with andrew on his big day.  But there is one at the end from the day we took her up north to catch her plane...

The kids think streamers are the best decorations.  Andrew requested a spiderman party. With chili and cornbread for dinner!

I hope he's not still wearing this shirt when he's in his 30s.

He wanted brown cake with brown icing and chocolate chips.

The kids has enough hot air, so he had no problem blowing these out.

busy-ness, a retrospective

We've been a little busy around here celebrating stuff this week.

7 years ago, we were doing this.

And even though I don't feel like 7 years is that long, we've done a lot.  Moves, deployments, vacations...
