Physics Experiment

No Vandegraft generator required. This hair is a common 'do for her - with the cold and dry air, it does pretty much whatever it wants. I had to get it on film. Oh, and forget bows, barrettes and elastics - they only last two seconds before she pulls them out. Unless I immediately distract her with food or Little Einsteins.

Winter Hiking

We took a little trip along the Skyline Drive in the Appalachians on Saturday. Not the colorful spectacle you would see in the fall - but the sky was bright blue with crisp mid 20 degree temps. We took a little "hike" along the Appalachian Trail. Alison loved being outside, despite the cold.

I took this picture last night while she was sleeping. We always find her in the funniest postions. Usually there is one leg propped up in the air somehow.

Well, it seemed like her first - she was only a week and a half old last year. She loved opening presents and playing with all of her new toys. She is so entertaining!

Christmas Lights!

Oh how I love blue. AND Christmas lights. So what's even better? Blue Christmas lights. Alison LOVED it! She was giddy and was laughing the whole time!

Look who's One!

We had a fun little celebration with cake, ice cream, family and some presents. She loves her "cell phone" and keys we got her. Hopefully she'll stop stealing ours! We're so glad we made it through this first year and hope she is relatively unscathed as well! Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Webb, Auntie Christine and Uncle David for being around to celebrate!

Okay really it's just her new outfits. Most of them are hand-me downs. But I have to admit, I'm a softie for a little girl in a cute holiday dress!

11months

Well, she is coming up on her 1st birthday, but I took this picture on her 11 month mark. As you can see, she almost has enough hair to put it up like Pebbles!

First Steps?

Of course I didn't have the camera ready, but she did take 3 steps today completely on her own! I was so surprised! Of course with coaching I couldn't get her to do it again. Well, it was late and she was tired. It was funny - I just told my mom earlier today she didn't seem to be in any hurry to walk!

Halloween Festivities

I took her to the store in her costume and when I went to take a picture she got into the spirit of things and her goofy side came out.Full Make-upShe didn't actually go trick-or-treating, but she helped pass out candy.

Hiking Adventures

We went on a "walk" that turned into a hike in the Prince William Forest Park. It was a beautiful day and Alison loved her vantage point atop Mt. Daddy.
