a day in the life

Andrew and Alison playing dentist.

hey! and they're flossing!
This is a new game for them.  They had been putting stuff on the treadmill and then all of a sudden I heard them talking about who was going to be the dentist.  The funny thing is, this looks just like the chairs at their dentist's office! (minus the pillow)(and the quilt).

Sweet sweet Maggie.

In a vintage dress.  And by vintage I mean one of my dresses.  From when I was a baby.  Yes, that baby (the dress) is 27 years old. or something.

before and after

It looks pretty good here.  But it was so long that you can see how far we had to sweep it over!!
still cute!  And a lot cooler too.
and just because.  What a ham!

for my mom

I know I haven't posted pictures for a while.  Here's a few to tide you over.

On the way to Grandma Jan's aka Green Grandma.  Little did we know how sick this little guy was.  Hand foot mouth.  Need I say more?  It was a painfully exhausting interesting weekend.
Family pictures were taken.  I looked sleep-deprived and exhausted.  Same thing? No.  Often go together though! But Maggie and Andrew looked cute.  So did Alison, but she was too busy running around with Erica.  AND it was a million degrees outside.
Maggie's first amusement park ride.  In the 100 degree heat.  This is why she is naked.  It was SO hot.  More pictures of our day at Busch Gardens to come. I think I lost 5 pounds that day in sweat alone.
I have pictures of Alison and Andrew like this too.  They all have the same profile and sleep the same.  I love it.  They look so angelic!
First good smile caught on camera!  AACK! So cute.  She giggles now too.
We've been spending a lot of time at the beach. It's the first thing we did when David came to see us.
Andrew would NOT go any further.  It took him another month to go in the water again.  We've cured him though.
Alison can't get enough of it!
I blogged about this on my other blog, but here's Maggie with the sweet quilt my blogging friends made her.

Disclaimer: most of these pictures are from June.  The last one is a little more current.  The other kids aren't changing as quickly as our little Magpie.

Father's Day 2010

We were so happy to have daddy home for Father's Day this year and to be in our new home!

But sometimes we like to put on our angry/sad faces, just for fun.

3 months old!

Maggie is 3 months old today!  So I thought it only appropriate to post something about her 2 month checkup and pictures.  :)

I was able to get her an appointment on 1 July. I don't know why, but I'm a little particular about having their appointments right on (or very near) the actual month mark.  I'm sure an extra ounce in one day isn't going to throw off the stats, but whatever.

It was the usual, measure, weigh, look at diapers, poke and prod, questions, questions and the dreaded shots.

She weighed in at 11 lbs 7 oz and 23 inches long.  That's about a pound and an inch for every fortnight (I've always wanted a good reason to use the word fortnight!).

Notice the cute super hero bandaid on her leg from the shots.

She looked a little like this (but a month bigger) after the shots.  I hate those dang things.

sometimes. . .

Andrew gets roped into playing dress-up.  Perhaps I should get a cowboy outfit.

blessing day

We blessed Maggie on the 23 May before we left Virginia.  My mom was still in town,

Uncle David came (as well as Mike and Jenny - but where is Mike?),
and Nick's family is there (and why aren't they in the pictures?), so even though she was only 3 weeks old, we went ahead with it.
I love baby blessings and knowing that my kids have each been blessed by their father to be able to ultimately achieve their full potential.

That's a lot of people we're in charge of now.  It's a good thing we love them!

That afternoon I did a little photo shoot.
I love this picture.

Alison wore the same bow in her hair on her blessing day.
Oh! Here's a picture of Christine with the baby (see I wasn't totally negligent on the Webb side).

She was pretty worn out by the end of the day!

Miss Maggie

These were taken on the 7 June - almost 6 weeks old and just a few days before we left VA.
Andrew and Alison can't get enough of her.  I have to be vigilant about her safety!!  Andrew is very sweet when he calls her Miss Maggie and Sweet Pea, it'll melt your heart.  And Alison has resumed play with her baby doll.  Whose name also happens to be Maggie.  Cute kids.

I wish that I wasn't so tired and busy - I want to take more pictures than I have been!  I need my own external flash too.  I had to give back the one I had on loan.  :(

one week!

I had a little one week photoshoot with baby Maggie.  I'm told she's smaller than she looks in these pictures....
Big Yawn!  I have a picture of all of my babies yawning like this!  I love it!
sweet cheeks.

official birth announcement

I have been slacking around this blog lately - but wanted to bring you up to speed.

Margaret Anne (Maggie) was born April 29 at 6:54 PM.  She weighed 7 pounds 5 oz, 19 inches long.

I was determined to have a post delivery glamour shot.  But the unsnapped shoulder was as close as I got.

Due to my history I was scheduled to go in the night of the 28th for an induction the next day.  I hadn't been feeling all that great for several days before.  I was having braxton-hicks contractions as well as some that were a little more uncomfortable.  I was certain I was going to be further along than I actually was.  I also found out there was a good reason I was feeling like that.  There was a big storm at the beginning of the week and then a full moon midweek.  The Labor and Delivery floor was packed and super busy all week!

We've been enjoying an awful lot of cuddling this little cutie!
Meet baby Maggie!
She is a sweet little thing and is being super cooperative (i.e. sleeping a lot.)  I can't get over all her hair!  I'm hoping it stays dark - but this is how Andrew started out too.

Did I mention she was super snuggly?
Alison and Andrew were both about to burst when they came to see her.

I love the look on Andrew's face here. It's either sheer amazement, wonder, adoration or just love.  Priceless.

I think I have a couple professional adoring baby holders on my hands.

David came to see us the day after she was born.  He got in on some of the baby holding action too.
She is definitely well-loved already.
I got to give her some UV bili-therapy the other day.  She liked it well enough - until she got too hot!

They were both a little tired.  I think I have a shot like this of Nick with all the babies.  He sure does love to snuggle with them!  But don't tell him I told you that.  :)
