one week!

I had a little one week photoshoot with baby Maggie.  I'm told she's smaller than she looks in these pictures....
Big Yawn!  I have a picture of all of my babies yawning like this!  I love it!

official birth announcement

I have been slacking around this blog lately - but wanted to bring you up to speed.

Margaret Anne (Maggie) was born April 29 at 6:54 PM.  She weighed 7 pounds 5 oz, 19 inches long.

I was determined to have a post delivery glamour shot.  But the unsnapped shoulder was as close as I got.

Due to my history I was scheduled to go in the night of the 28th for an induction the next day.  I hadn't been feeling all that great for several days before.  I was having braxton-hicks contractions as well as some that were a little more uncomfortable.  I was certain I was going to be further along than I actually was.  I also found out there was a good reason I was feeling like that.  There was a big storm at the beginning of the week and then a full moon midweek.  The Labor and Delivery floor was packed and super busy all week!

We've been enjoying an awful lot of cuddling this little cutie!
Meet baby Maggie!
She is a sweet little thing and is being super cooperative (i.e. sleeping a lot.)  I can't get over all her hair!  I'm hoping it stays dark - but this is how Andrew started out too.

Did I mention she was super snuggly?
Alison and Andrew were both about to burst when they came to see her.

I love the look on Andrew's face here. It's either sheer amazement, wonder, adoration or just love.  Priceless.

I think I have a couple professional adoring baby holders on my hands.

David came to see us the day after she was born.  He got in on some of the baby holding action too.
She is definitely well-loved already.
I got to give her some UV bili-therapy the other day.  She liked it well enough - until she got too hot!

They were both a little tired.  I think I have a shot like this of Nick with all the babies.  He sure does love to snuggle with them!  But don't tell him I told you that.  :)

this will probably be the last post with just the Alison and Andrew title

probably - yes, definitely.  I've been so overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done before baby comes and the move that I haven't been posting here as much.  I did manage to take some pictures today though.  Our last few days as we know it.  Excited for the new arrival, but melancholy about the change, if that makes ANY sense....

just after a dramatic recitation of Where the Wild Things Are.
Alison and Kate (her dress-up partner in crime).
Probably needs another haircut. But too cute!

Just the 3 of us. well, almost 4.... (taken today!)

happy easter!

really, has it been since February?  Well, since mom's computer wasn't working - I wasn't feeling a need to post as frequently.  Nor have I been taking a lot of pictures.  AND I got a new computer and some of the other photos I want to post are on the old one....  enough with the excuses.  Here's some easter pics for you!

The easter bunny came during nap time.  I hear she's pregnant and was too tired to get the stuff together the night before.
PEZ!!!!
Twinners!!  This was not planned, but very funny.
looking for some eggs!
The biggest problem with easter egg hunt pictures is they are rarely facing you for a decent picture.
cousins!
Daddy's 'helping' - or plotting to take some chocolate.
And he couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again.  Poor kid.  He was concentrating SO HARD.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

San Diego - Sea World

why are penguins so cute?
Seriously?
and the dolphins? Amazing.

this guy thought it was all pretty cool.

and then we got to see Shamu!

And I got to hear, "Shamu, Shamu, Shamu!"  in the bathtub that night.
The rides were pretty fun too.
And again, it was great Aunt Laura was with us - being 6 months pregnant at an amusement park makes it a little less fun for me.
But I was happy to capture their smiling faces.
I don't think she stopped smiling.
Until I had to tell her it was time to go.
Perhaps we did go on one ride too many.
Because I stopped smiling when Andrew puked in the car on the way home.  But what's a day at an amusement park without a good vomit-fest later?
